Busy Start to 2016 for KCID with Interior Designs in Oakville, Burlington & Toronto

2016 has been a busy year so far! I have some jobs that are ongoing from 2015, but also have started a few new ones that I am excited to see take shape. I may be a residential interior designer based in Oakville, but I have jobs all over the GTA.

The Beaches:

A young family in the Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto called me to get their basement organized. With two young kids, there are a lot of toys and games, but the basement is also where the family enters the home on a daily basis. I am incorporating a wardrobe, cubby and bench system for an open concept mudroom, as well as all of the items required to make a child-friendly and fun basement rec space. We are in the plans and quoting stage of this project and look forward to seeing it implemented in the coming months.

This is a client that I have worked for twice since starting my business and I am as excited for them as they embark on a new adventure. They are expecting their first baby and have asked me to design their nursery. The design has been done and we are in approval and ordering stages. She is due in June and we will be all set up and ready for baby!

This family’s forever home in Burlington is feeling a bit empty and with long-term plans to renovate and create an addition, they have been hesitant to decorate. After deciding their big plans are still a few years away, they called me to furnish and decorate their living room and dining room from scratch. They love to entertain and we are incorporating much more flexible seating and a large dining table for their large extended family. We are anxiously awaiting orders and will be installing in the coming month or two.

The ongoing Burlington new build project is coming to an end very soon. The build is complete and we are waiting on furnishings to arrive to finish off the home. We will have some ongoing work over the coming months to finalize artwork selections, accessories and finishing touches, but we are almost there!

One last project that hasn’t quite commenced will be taking place in an existing Oakville client’s home. We did their living room, but they are anxious for the rest of their main floor to follow suit. This will include a kitchen renovation or re-fresh and decorating a dining room.

I am looking forward to seeing what else 2016 holds for KCID. If you are looking for a residential interior designer for your home in Oakville or surrounding GTA, contact me to set up a consultation.
