Katie Campbell Interiors & Design Inc./Campbell & Co. Home is looking to add a co-ordinator of operations to the team, whose role is to support the administration of the design studio/retail shop and the execution of client design projects.

The candidate is a detail-oriented and highly organized professional who is looking for a fast-paced and exciting role within a quickly growing, multi-faceted design studio in Waterdown, Ontario. Our ideal candidate is a fast learner and self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision in a diverse and engaging role. The ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment is critical. Integrity, professionalism and excellent communication skills are essential. Ability to work under pressure and maintain flexibility in an ever-changing industry is integral.

This is a part-time position with potential to become full-time (total number of hours to be discussed). Our ideal candidate will have a car and ability to work from Waterdown studio.

  • Undergraduate degree or post-secondary education in design/decorating/visual merchandising an asset but not a requirement
  • Excellent computer skills in a Mac environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications (Shopify, Design Docs) and excellent knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest)
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Must have reliable personal transportation and be willing to work in Waterdown studio
  • Must be highly motivated, mature and driven to excel
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and project co-ordination skills


  1. Office Assistant (KCID):
  • Maintaining accurate client files, records and project status
  • Interacting with team (Katie, trades, suppliers) on all aspects of a design project from meetings to product acquisition to implementation of the design
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Order processing, tracking and scheduling
  • Preparing client presentations
  • Communicating with clients on project status and accounting
  • Billing and invoicing
  • Pick-ups and deliveries, site visits, etc. as required
  • Attending project meetings and site visits when required
  • Co-ordinating and managing suppliers, trades, client scheduling
  • General office assistance
  1. Retail Support (CCH):
  • Inventory management
  • Online Shopify system maintenance
  • Pricing and uploading new product
  • Shop merchandising
  • Working in the shop as sales associate
  • Packing orders for shipping
  • Maintain packing supplies
  • Organize stock room
  • Product acquisition/ordering/follow up
  1. Social Media Co-ordination (KCID/CCH):
  • Content calendar assistance
  • Blog/social media outlet content creation
  • Facebook/Instagram ads
  • Newsletters/email list support
