Oakville interior decorator Katie Campbell’s first episode of Income Property with Scott McGillivray aired in the US on February 2nd and it was a resounding success. Featuring a cottage in Kawartha Lakes owned by Alex and Casey, the challenge was to renovate the cottage as an appealing rental that would cover the high cost of ownership.
Katie Campbell and the team did not disappoint! This Oakville interior decorator was part of the team with McGillivray to increase the property’s value by a whopping $130,000 with the potential to earn $2,300 per week in rental income. The design included an expanded kitchen, a bathroom relocation and lost space reclaimed by finishing a downstairs bedroom. The timeless decor interspersed with unique elements to highlight cottage life absolutely thrilled the owners.
As pleased as the owners were by the newly decorated cottage, the viewers were ecstatic with the season’s debut show. With more than 60 raving comments on McGillivray’s Facebook page regarding the decor, this is indeed a coup by Oakville interior decorator Katie Campbell and the Income Property team.
